Opportunity overview

WFP internships provide practical experience in humanitarian assistance and may involve research, data analysis, programme operations, documents and presentations, supply chain, communications, finance, administration, or technology.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a recognized undergraduate or graduate programme, or have graduated within the previous six months.
  • Candidates must have attended university classes in the past twelve months and completed at least two years of undergraduate study.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required; additional WFP languages are advantageous.
  • Applicants cannot have an immediate relative employed by WFP.

Benefits

  • Assignments generally last two to eight months.
  • A stipend of up to USD 1,000 per month, depending on the duty station.
  • Medical and accident insurance, training resources, and visa support where applicable.
  • Eligible developing-economy nationals studying in their home country may receive appointment and repatriation travel.
